ŻAR is the sum of ever‑changing spaces. Spaces where one can live and relax — contemplating the silence and peace of omnipresent nature.
Each building has a unique character, which drives from its historical function. Each apartment has its own unique charm — and that’s exactly why everyone falls in love with their favourite one.
The expansive gardens, the very heart of Żar, are not only a perfect place for play, activities, or peaceful relaxation — they also tie everything together and define the unique character of this place.
Gorzelnia (Distillery)
Gorzelnia (Distillery) – Set on a hill with a beautiful view of Żarnowieckie Lake and the surrounding fields, Gorzelnia is a one‑of‑a‑kind place to live. At its foot lie terraced gardens, raised on the foundations of a former barn, surrounded by rolling meadows full of wild elder and grasses.
Gorzelnia is a special place for ŻAR. Built at the end of the 19th century, it originally served both production and residential functions. Preserving its multifunctional character, the post‑industrial rooms today are apartments, and the ground floor will soon become a space for cultural events and an artist‑in‑residence programme.

Dworek – The Manor
From the Manor’s windows, views open in every direction — across the expansive gardens, a Gothic monastery, and the estate’s oldest building, the 16th-century Granary. The true highlight is the lush green garden itself, framed by rows of hornbeams and surrounded by endless fields of grain.
Guests can enjoy a fire pit, grill, and comfortable garden seating. The Manor, set beside the monastery, has long been a favourite among visitors — especially families with young children and those exploring the area by bike.
